Two Weeks Until Opening Day!

By the time this scene plays out at Dodger Stadium in 2014, they will have already played 2 games that count.

I'll try my best to not hyperventilate while I write this.  Let's get excited folks!  Not only is it a Happy St. Patrick's Day today, but Major League Baseball's North American Opening Day is two weeks away!  I say North American because the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks will open up their season in 5 days for a two game series at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Australia.

While I'm sure the opener in Australia will be fun, it probably won't compare to what will take place two weeks from now.  It will be the one day when all other teams will start the season with such promise and hope.  The smells of ballpark food and the sights of freshly manicured green grass with thousands of upon thousands of screaming fans filling the stands will take center stage across America and Canada.  Yes, we can't forget about the Blue Jays who play their home games north of the border.

Here's to hoping these next two weeks go by as quick as the offseason has and our favorite teams end Spring Training with players who are 100% healthy.
